Professional Biography

In a 46-year legal career, including 35 years as a judge, Weldon Copeland has participated in or presided over more than 200 jury trials. As a Probate Court Judge, he oversaw over 25,000 probate cases, including more than 500 contested probate proceedings.

His journey from a legal scholar born in El Paso to his career in Collin County is a testament to his dedication and expertise. He commenced his journey with a Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin in 1973, followed by a law degree from Texas Tech University in 1976.
